The Clara Step Barrel is favored by Fletcher Pilates instructors because it provides more accurate pelvic placement and lumbar spine support. Ron Fletcher mentioned that Clara Pilates loved this machine and that the way the handle was made made it easier for him to do the exercises she showed him.
Providing the versatile support that Clara Pilates had in mind. It is very similar to our West Coast Step Barrel, except for the unique vertical cut-out handholds that replace the external metal handles.
This is the "go-to" barrel in Fletcher Pilates programming because of its sharper angles and arcs, which enhance pelvic positioning accuracy and lumbar support. Ron Fletcher received instruction from Clara Pilates, who elucidated the importance of this design and how the integrated vertical handholds enhance her artistic output. We are really happy to dedicate this design to Clara and all that she has done for Pilates.
