The R8-Pro, our newest light commercial entry-level reformer, gets its name from the fact that it looks a lot like Joseph Pilates's original "classic Reformers," hence the R8, which stands for Retro (8 wheels). This includes the carriage's measurements, reformer height, foot bar height, spring bar locations, and carriage and carriage distances. Even though the R8-Pro lacks height-adjustable rope risers and leather straps in favor of our Silent Ropes, its design ensures that the pulley position is very similar to that of a classic machine
